Course contents:

The course includes such issues as Sustainability as a business opportunity, the changing role of the state in crisis, "Business as usual“, creating a new – ecological – part of the Russian business culture, Prospects of Sustainable investment: International and Russian experience. Methods such as surveys, case study, and grounded theory will be reviewed in particular.

Learning outcomes:

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to understand with any real problems confronting sustainable development in the Russian economy, and what are the prospects for sustainable development in an unstable world economy.

Student will be able to demonstrate the knowledge of the specifics of the Russian economy and business practices in the largest consumer market in Europe. Student will be able to examine the strengths and weaknesses of Sales and marketing policies seeing from a sustainability approach.

Students must be admitted to the two year Master of Science in Sustainable Management Program, or have explicit permission from the administration at HHB and BSTU.
